Five Chicagoland HBAs Team to Create Illinois Regional Education Board
Educational programs to be offered with support from MLC New Home Marketing
CHICAGO – Five Chicagoland HBAs have joined together to form the Illinois Regional Education Board (the Board). Supported by MLC New Home Marketing, the Board will offer an array of courses to better educate the various members of each Homebuilders Association in the Chicago area. The Board was created with the goal of consolidating the education efforts of the HBA’s builder and remodelor members, increase attendance in local courses, and promote builder and remodelor designations.
“It is exciting to be a part of this new program. I know that each of the Chicagoland HBAs and all their members will benefit greatly from this joint venture,” said Mitch Levinson, President of MLC New Home Marketing. “With the number of HBAs in the Chicago area, it makes sense to consolidate efforts and increase involvement in the HBAs’ educational offerings. This will increase available courses and allow the members to become more knowledgeable and successful as a builder and/or remodelor.”
The Illinois Regional Education Board is made up of the following HBA’s: The Homebuilders Association of Greater Chicago, The Homebuilders Association of Greater Fox Valley, The Southwest Suburban Homebuilders Association, The Northern Illinois Homebuilders Association and The Will-Grundy Counties Homebuilders and Associates.
The benefits of the Board are vast, not only for the five Chicagoland HBAs, but for the National Association of Home Builders. By combining these HBAs educational programs, there will be more course offerings and less overlap of courses between the various HBAs. The coordinated effort will give course access to more participants, and should increase attendance and desire for the various designations offered by the NAHB, in addition to having membership steadily increase.
MLC New Home Marketing, with a strong background in web design, internet marketing, administration, and coordination, will lead this effort to ensure the Board achieves their mission. Among other tasks, the company will launch a Web site with program details, schedule instructors, send promotional e-blasts and newsletters periodically and coordinate the various courses that are offered.
